The Red Sea represents a wide scale marine life, which can be seen in its islands and along its coast.


The sea has recently seen a revolution in its different activities, which can vary so widely from swimming without even some equipments and relaxing on the shiny sand to swimming with full equipments. In the same hand, the sea represents a variety of activities ranging from swimming on the surface of its clear water to diving to the depth to watch the most amazing corals and fish.




The map of the Red Sea is full of the diving locations. Some of these diving sites can be found on its islands while the others can be found just along its coastline.



A big number of diving sites are found in the Red Sea to provide a good chance to make a dive whether it is a day boat dive or a liveaboard one.


The dive is basically based on enjoying the sea with its beautiful corals and fish. However, it is so attracting to see shipwrecks, which tell a story of the old days. In wonder, the divers from all over the world come to enjoy the sea here with all its treasures, which vary so widely.




The sea offers, too, a big number of islands, which can be reached from Sharm El-Sheik, Hurghada, or Marsa Alam in the south of it. These islands offer all kinds of fun and excitement providing a chance of snorkeling or diving. The following is a description of these islands with their diving locations:

Dahar

It is the old part of the city and it was the centre of it about 10 years ago. A number of hotels and resorts are located in this area as El Dahar was established on the sea. A number of governmental offices are located too; beside, a number of parks and bus stops. The place now is a public one as it is populated. It is famous, as well, of its big number of bazaars and commercial shops. In this place, you can find the churches and the civil affairs offices.


EL Helaly

The district is full of the governmental offices. The governmental general hospital is located too. The papas bar is one of the well-known places of the district. The cinema and a number of hotels like Sea Star Boverage, Shedwan, Empire hotel, and SandBeach are among the serial hotels there.





El Amal & Beirut

The area was built on the coast shore in front of the Beirut hotel in three kilometers far from the center of El Dahar and is located not far from all the facilities provided in the two areas of El Dahar and El Sakala. HiltonHurghadaPlaza, King Tut are among its hotels.



Zahabia & Arabia

The area is found so closed to the Zahabia hotel and Sunny days El Palacio to extend south to the port of Hurghada.

Sekala

It considers being the centre of the town nowadays, where the Sheraton street extends which is famous of its traffic until the late hours of night. The most famous restaurants are spread in this street like KFC, McDonald’s, and Sbarro. Beside, a big number of local fish restaurants. The place got a big number of supermarkets and bazaars. The port of Hurghada is located too in this place as well as the other port of the boats used for the sea trips. A number of private and governmental schools are found too. The place got private and public beaches. A number of foreigners still prefer to live in this area. The PapasBeach is located in this area as one of the most famous discos.

El Hadaba

It is the natural extension of El Sekala, which connects it to the area to the north of El Qura. The place is characterized by its quietness and height, too, compared to the other place located to the next to it where you can enjoy watching the whole city during the night and, of course, the charming views of the sea during the day.



The Old Sheraton

It is the area where the old Sheraton was built as the first hotel in Hurghada. It got too a number of famous restaurants like Felfela and Bulls. Some hotels like sunrise holiday's resort, Safir and Marriott too.

Qura

The place extends so far from the north where El Hadaba ends to the south on a distance of about 20 km along the seashore of the Red Sea. It got a number of districts as it is indicated below in order from the north to the south of it. They name it the Villages Area for the big number of hotels, which were built in it.



Mubarak 2

The area located in front of El Kawsar. It is a quite residential one where flats and villas with a nice garden view are available. It got its own shopping centre. Many foreigners prefer to live in the place.


El Kawsar

It is the inhabited area, which was planned according to the recent reconstructing measures as it is seen in the wideness of its streets, and the plan of the gardens included to its buildings.

One can enjoy himself walking in its well-known street El Mamsha or sit in one of its cafés or restaurants, which are spread in the place. A serial of international banks are available in the place like the CIB, HSBC, and Barclays. Car exhibitions, restaurants and a bowling centre are situated too. No wonder that the high standard buildings which attract the majority of people to rent in it are there. El Kawsar homes the Egyptian hospital and the famous supermarkets like Metro. The famous language school of saint Joseph is found there too.

El Inter

It's a new district with part of it located in the famous touristy Villages street El Mamsha where the Intercontinental, Hilton and Grand Plaza are found, while the other part of it is located on the Airport street.

Mubarak 6

It was built according to the same designs, which are found in Mubarak 2 and has the same facilities with wider gardens.



Magawish

It is a high standard living area, which takes its name from the name of the MagawishIsland. The majority of its buildings take the shape of villas, beside a small number of buildings with two floors-heights. It is characterized by its wideness of the streets and the excellent planning. Many foreigners who decided to get their home in this charming place prefer the place for all the previous advantages of it. The area faces the Magawish hotel and hence the sea too. The day-use beach is available too.

Hurghada is a tourist city; located on the eastern coast of Read Sea. For this reason, Hurghada welcomes over than one million visitors seeking the charm of the sea.

The islands of Hurghada add more charm to the beauty of the sea here to offer more fun and excitement to the life of those who are looking for pleasure. Sea trips to these islands for snorkeling, fishing, or diving are among the activity one can enjoy while visiting these islands.

Hurghada extends for about 40 km along the seashore of the red sea. The resort is a destination of tourists coming from all the different corners of the world and is served by the Hurghada International Airport with scheduled passenger traffic to and from Cairo and direct flights to several cities in Europe. The airport has undergone massive renovations to accommodate rising traffic. It attracts the Egyptians as well to come to settle in it. Today, it got 248,000 inhabitants and became the largest city on the coast of the Red Sea.
